Movember 2026Stache
Dash
The short version
5km every hour,
for 24 hours
A backyard-ultra style run, done our way — solo or in a team of up to six, raising money for Movember and men's mental health.
How it works
Every 5km starts on the hour. Finish before the next hour begins, rest, then go again. Twenty-four times.
Why we do it
Three in four suicides in Australia are by men. We run to raise money, and to get people talking.
2025 recap
Our first year raised over $10,000 for Movember, with 150+ people through the gates across the day.
How it works
Backyard ultra rules,
backyard vibes
On the hour
Every 5km starts on the hour. Finish it before the next hour begins and you can rest until the horn goes again. Repeat 24 times.
Log it yourself
Distance runs on the honour system. Track each 5km on Strava, Garmin, or whatever watch you run with.
Stop when you stop
Pull out whenever you need to — one lap or twenty-four, every hour raises money either way.
One lap, every hour, twenty-four times
5km × 24 = 120km
Go as far as you can — every lap counts
New for 2026
Bring a team
In 2025 it was one runner, alone, against the clock. This year you can share the load — enter a team of up to six and split the 24 hours however you like.
Team rules
- Up to 6 runners per team.
- Split the laps any way you want: alternate, take blocks, or send your best legs at 4am.
- Every runner registers under the same team name.
- Each runner pays their own entry.
On the day
Event schedule
We've got plenty planned across the 24 hours, including a BBQ and a massive raffle stocked by local businesses. Everything raised goes directly to Movember, funding men's mental health and suicide prevention.
We'll be sharing more details soon — it's going to be a crazy 24 hours. Be sure to bring your friends, your family, and of course, a moustache.
The essentials
- When — Saturday 28 November to Sunday 29 November 2026.
- Where — Sydney. Location to be confirmed.
- Who for — Movember, supporting men's mental health in our local Ryde community.
- Also on — Raffle, BBQ, and a finish line worth staying up for.
Why we do it
Too many men are
struggling in silence
Movember exists to address men's mental health and suicide prevention. The numbers behind that work are the reason we run.
Running 5km at 3am doesn't fix any of that on its own. But it gets people together, it gets people talking, and it puts money behind the organisations doing the work. That's the whole idea. Read more about Movember's work.
The first one
2025 — our first
Stache Dash
Beyond the money, the day got people talking — about how they were actually doing, and about the mates they were running for. That's the part we're trying to grow.
